A Convo with Breath
When it comes to that time of month, your energy may wax and wane, to the point where everything feels like effort. You know it’s time for R&R and it’s hard for you to do that, to just BE because all you’ve know is DO. You might come face to face with discomfort or pain, yet again. For instance, I get menstrual cramps and it can be painful, so I do what I can muster up the energy to do. I sit and breathe. I invite deep breathing into my life.
Here’s a convo in my head with breath:
Me: Hey, where have you been? I’ve missed you.
Breath: I’ve been here all along.
Me: Wait, what?
Breath: Yes, I’m always here when you need me.
Me: How much will it cost me?
Breath: I’m free.
Me: Thanks, love (Takes a few deep breaths.) Wow, that feels really good.
Breath: Yes, I’m always here with you. Use me anytime, anywhere.
Start with a few conscious deep breaths, breathe in through your nostrils and breathe out with puckered lips (like you’re giving a kiss or sucking on a straw). Work up to a few minutes or even 10. No pressure though. This is free and could be life-changing.
Try it out and let me know.
