Sleep Story
How many hours of sleep do you need in a day? When was the last time you truly felt rested?? I've been inspired to work on my own sleep cuz honestly I'm tired of feeling tired...
I feel that I just power through the week and crash during the weekends (aka sleeping in). My introvert self is convinced that I don't need much to feel happy. I could live in hygge mode all day, every day, but is it healthy? I'm currently studying the work of Dr. Breus (the sleep doctor) and reading his book, The Power of When.
What I'm trying to say is I'm prioritize self-care, and I'm inviting you to do the same. This week I tried acupuncture and cupping for the first time in the U.S. and while the first day left me a bit sore, my body feels lighter and has been for the past few days. Did you know that it's possible that your insurance may cover it and you may just have a small co-pay? There's also community acupuncture that may be more affordable. I invite you to be in charge of your own health and wellness because you matter. Honestly, no one else is gonna do it for you, but you know yourself best. Let's start listening to our body. Without good health it's just harder to do things that you need to do and want to do. Am I right??
Instead of waiting for a health crisis to happen, why not act now? Here's one way to get over the fear:
Put a broom/a string/something long across the room, imagine that you are crossing it (getting over the fear), and actually cross it. Bonus points if you can get another person or a pet to do it with you. Once you cross it, make sure you reach back to lend a hand for those who are crossing too. Don't let anyone else behind. You hear me?
Have you been putting off self-care? Have you been living in fear in an aspect of your life? The perfect time may never come, so DO IT NOW. What's the right next step for you?
