The art of savoring

There may be many times in your life that cause you to feel unmoored and overwhelmed by all that you have to do or not knowing what to do. You are not alone.

You may feel burned out by your current roles or juggling multiple things at once, but still you are left feeling unsatisfied. Why is that?

Being attuned of your feelings provide you with awareness and building a life you love require you to be selfish at times (i.e., protecting your energy/boundaries, saying no, and choosing rest instead of over-activity).

With the change of seasons, why not slow down and reflect together. As we move toward the last few months of the year, intentionally pause and savor each moment. Yes, I know, it’s easier said than done. Here are some examples of simple savoring that may turn these ordinary moments into extraordinary ones:

a. Enjoying the few moments when you wake up to take a few deep breaths/listen to the birds sing

b. Washing your dishes and feeling just how good the warm water is

c. Lying on your tummy [tummy time is not just for kids ;)] on the soft faux fur rug

d. Tasting the full, multidimensional flavor of your favorite cup of tea/coffee

You get the idea now. So, right now, choose to savor your experience of daily life and share one experience you’d like to share. :)

P.S. With the practice of savoring/being more mindful, your life may start to get more vibrant and flavorful, starting immediately. You have been warned.
