This precious life

This week I found out one of my dear friends, a devout meditator, had been in a major car accident, where she was airlifted to the nearest trauma center. This news woke me up. At first I couldn’t believe that something “bad” can happen to someone “good.” I’m so thankful that she’s alive. What surprised me was the sheer calmness that exuded from her, even though she is in the ICU with broken bones and bloody bruises. Five hours of surgery later, she was verbal, calm and poised. Hmm..is this a miracle? I think so.

In times of crises, willpower can be super useful and life-changing. This is one of benefits of consistent meditation. So, please start today. If you’ve tried it in the past, try it again. Recommit to this practice because it can literally save your life.

When was the last time you felt the flow of your breath? Consciously breathing works. Focusing on a mantra also works. Do it for you because you’re worth it.
