It’s funny how some people never pick up a book again after finishing school, but for me I’ve learned to appreciate reading more and more, especially when I’m not in school anymore. Why is that? Maybe it’s the fact that it’s not required reading (I never finished Scarlet Letter) or that I’ll get to choose the books and decide which one to read. My grades won’t suffer if I don’t finish reading them. Phew. I feel like there’s a book for everyone. I find comfort in reading books (smelling books included), getting lost in the plot/points, and feeling that I’m a bit more knowledgeable that when I first began. Research has shown that successful people read every day – books, magazines, newspapers, etc. Through reading I find myself an effective teacher/friend, and that is enough for me to keep reading. It’s never tool late to start reading again. Shall we?
