What to do when you feel stressed?

You procrastinate more! Ha, really though, this is one thing you can do:  Stop, take a huge breath, hold breath for a few seconds and sigh out loud. Something about the loud sighs is deeply relaxing for me. Once you’re a bit more relaxed, stop and think about your priorities. Knowing your priorities will help you make a more manageable game plan. Yes, it may seem like everyone wants your attention right now and everything seems important, but what is urgent? What are the 3 things you need to do right now? For me knowing that meditation gives me more peace and energy went straight to my priority list because I know that I will be more productive afterwards. I just came back from a 15-minute walking meditation in the backyard under the moonlight. I’m grateful that I have a backyard with windchimes and dogs. They make me feel better the second I step outside and take a breath of fresh air.
