How to work with low energy
The weather is sooo cold, it gets dark way too soon. Have you ever felt like doing nothing? What to do when all you want to do is curl up in bed and sleep, and there’s a million things you should be doing…
Here’s how you can work with your low energy:
- Set 3 goals for the day (the number can be adjusted to make it realistic for you). Write it down. Make it happen.
- Add bursts of energy throughout the day – these can be in the form of blasting music of one minute, doing 20 jumping jacks, lifting dumbbells, sucking on candy, using a straw to drink, chewing gum, eat spicy food, spraying water mist/washing your face, brushing your teeth, doing a short walk, stepping outside to get some sunshine, take the trash out, drink tea, use peppermint essential oil, burn a candle, etc. Think of different ways to tap into your sensory systems.
- Thank yourself for all that you’ve done for that day, regardless of the outcome. Try again tomorrow.
